Register now! Conference - Seed and Soil: In Vivo Models of Metastasis
We are pleased to invite you to attend the first ever joint MRS and European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) conference on cancer metastasis! The “Seed and Soil: In Vivo Models of Metastasis” conference will be held in Berlin, Germany from the 27-29 of November 2017. This conference will update you on the latest exciting developments in modeling metastasis including transgenic models and new imaging techniques. The intimate setting with a relatively small number of participants and innovative features such as our “Speed Networking” or “Meet-the-Expert” sessions are anticipated to help foster collaborations amongst attendees.
Keynote lectures will be given by:
Robert Kerbel (Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Tumor Biology, Angiogenesis and Antiangiogenic Therapy, and Professor at the University of Toronto): “Experimental therapeutics using preclinical mouse models of early or late stage metastatic disease”
Andreas Trumpp (Professor and Head of the Stem Cells and Cancer Division, DKFZ, and Managing Director of HI-STEM): “Metabolic pathways control malignant stem cells and therapy resistance”
Erik Sahai (Group Leader, the Francis Crick Institute): “Crosstalk with the Lung Parenchyma Regulates Metastasis”
Investigators of all levels are encouraged to attend! Travel awards are available and MRS and EACR members receive a discount on registration. Click here to learn more about MRS membership and join us today!
The conference will be hosted by Harnack House, home to the Max Planck Society. The house itself is a symbol of German academic research, a historical venue where science and international politics have enjoyed centre stage. Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available onsite for participants who wish to enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding Harnack House.
