Preliminary Program & Speakers

August 1, 2018

The Young Investigator Satellite Meeting (YISM) will take place over a full day on August 1, 2018.  This meeting in addition to the invited speakers listed in the table will feature 12 young investigator short talks selected from submitted abstracts, a roundtable "Meet the Professors" mentoring session, and an advocacy panel discussion.  All congress participants are invited and encouraged to attend the YISM, not just young investigators.  The YISM provides a unique opportunity for developing investigators to get valuable feedback on their work from more senior investigators.

The main congress will begin in the evening of August 1st with opening remarks and a keynote leture.

August 2-5, 2018

The main congress will continue August 2-5 and will be organized into 10 sessions listed below.  The agenda will include podium presentations from invited speakers (3 per session), those selected for plenary presentation from abstracts (2 per session), and presentations from MRS award recipients. The MRS will give four awards following nominations to leading senior and young investigators to further support excellence in translational metastasis research.  There will also be question/answer periods, multiple poster sessions to ensure participants have time to interact with poster presenters, patient advocacy panel discussions, a “Meet the Editors” session where journal editors provide advice on navigating the submission/review process, and networking events for established and early career investigators.
