Sue Eccles Young Investigator Award

The Sue Eccles Young Investigator Award in Cancer Metastasis Research.

The MRS board of directors recently agreed to establish a Young Investigator Award in honor of Dr. Sue Eccles, one of our most accomplished investigators and original supporter of the MRS. With this award the MRS honors excellent metastasis research performed by members of the MRS who are 40 years old or less. The inaugural award was given at the MRS biennial conference in 2016 to Dr. Jing Yang, an early-stage team leader who had established her own research group. Eligible work for consideration should have been carried out after postdoctoral training and before tenure. Self-nomination is possible. Current members of the MRS board are not eligible. Nominations should include a brief outline of work performed after postdoctoral training, a CV that includes a publication list in which papers published after postdoctoral training are highlighted, and the Pubmed ID of the three most important papers published as an early-stage team leader.

In addition to a monetary prize, the award includes financing for the recipient to attend and talk at the MRS Biennial Congress
