BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
The Metastasis Research Society (MRS), a scientific society of laboratory, translational, and clinical researchers, was founded in 1984. Our goal is to contribute to the cure of cancer by research, education, and communication regarding the most deadly aspect of cancer -- metastasis.
MRS facilitates communication and dissemination of knowledge among scientists and others dedicated to the metastasis problem; fosters research and accelerates progress in metastasis- related (e.g., invasion, angiogenesis, adhesion, immunology, bioengineering, etc.) biomedical sciences; encourages the presentation and discussion of new and important observations in the field; encourages new investigators to enter the field; and advances the understanding of cancer metastasis throughout the world.
Members of the MRS enjoy the following benefits:
the privilege of sponsoring a proffered paper (abstract) for consideration for presentation at the MRS International Congresses;
subscriptions to the Society's high-quality journals Clinical and Experimental Metastasis and Cancer and Metastasis Reviews at reduced member rates <details>;
research grant programs announced earlier for current MRS members
an advance copy of, or electronic access to, the program and abstracts for MRS International Congresses;
priority notice of small, focused meetings in metastasis-related fields with other scientific societies around the world;
substantially reduced registration rates for MRS International Congresses;
free subscription to MRS newsletters and other important announcements;
the opportunity to post and review listings in the online MRS Employment Register;
networking and informal scientific exchange with leading researchers in the cancer field; and
many more ongoing benefits.
